I learn a lot when I collaborate with excellent people on the other side of the administrative fence. The result is always greater than the sum of the individual parts.

We just published an invited review on an administrative perspective on infection prevention, management and change.  The paper is accessible here and was published in Current Infectious Diseases Reports.

Bottom line, change must be deliberate and disciplined.  The highest standards of safety start at the top, without executive oversight, support and resources-no infection prevention program will reach it stated goals.
