Health, as defined by World Health Organization
(WHO), it is a "State of complete physical, mental, and social well being,
and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
I reflect on the above as I sit in clinic waiting for the day to begin.
It seems like I am getting more referrals for chronic fatigue, 'chronic Lyme disease' and 'chronic rocky mountain spotted fever'. Many people simply suffer from common symptoms that are not easily explained, which can be a major barrier for physicians, as explored here.
Health may not be easily defined, however, I know that it is not as characterized by the WHO.
With the above definition, virtually none of us are healthy.
Depressing.
